On New Year's Day 2024, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She believed that chronic stress played a major role in developing her illness.
My mom's story inspired me to become a health coach. What I learned throughout the training was completely life changing. I gained tools to manage my own chronic stress and live a healthier life which resulted in shedding 10lbs, my energy returning, and becoming my happy, positive self again.
The most meaningful part of this journey was helping my mom and being by her side every step of the way. It brought me closer to her than I ever was. I coached her this past year and with the techniques I shared, she substantially reduced her stress. Along with her conventional and alternative treatments, at first her cancer shrunk by 50% and she was able to have over a year of many more good times. Sadly, she passed away peacefully with her family by her side in February 2025. She outlived the expectations of her doctors and they were surprised how well she handled all the treatments.
RIP mom, you will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Living through this has ignited my passion to share the power of preventive health with the world.
